What does intention really mean?
People often ask, 'Why did you get married?' 'What are your dating goals - hookup, short-term, or long-term?' 'Why did you take this job?' It seems that everything is connected to intention.
Clever people usually have a clear intention or goal in mind; they strive to achieve something in everything they do. So, does this mean that people without intention are unintelligent? I think not.
Speaking for myself, I've noticed that I prefer to let my eyes observe and allow my body and brain to react based on different situations. While this approach can be stressful and sometimes leaves me unsure of how to act, it's better than knowing exactly what I want from the start. Curiosity plays the game! It makes others think I am an extrovert when I am curious, but internally, I’m constantly pondering and thinking.
This leads me to wonder if I have commitment issues. I believe I do, but it's more about trust. (Can I trust the group, and how open-minded are they in allowing me to be myself around them? How much fun can I have with them?)
If everything starts with having fun, everything becomes easier for me. However, it doesn't mean I disagree with people who have clear intentions. I do hope to have intentions or goals for everything I do to motivate myself to move forward faster.
Ultimately, effective communication between both parties is crucial. Without communication, intention becomes a one-player game.
